Picture Frames & Mounts
All of our picture frames and mounts are hand made in our own workshop by our own highly skilled craftspeople. We only use the best grade of picture frame mouldings and the assembly of each completed frame is thoroughly quality checked before it leaves the workshop.
Please try not to be tempted to compare our picture frames to the cheap mass-produced imports sometimes available at discount stores, as they are usually far inferior.
Framed & Finished Art Prints
If you click on the "pic-a-frame" link that is situated near most Art Print items, you will be directed to the Boatpix Online Picture Framer, where you can choose from a multitude of picture frame and mount board styles and colours. You can even choose from three glass types, and change the background wall colour to see what combination will look best in its final hanging place!
When you've found your perfect combination and placed your order, our own skilled Picture Finishing staff will caringly install the glass, picture mount and art print into the frame, ensuring that its interior is spotlessly clean, install acid free finishing backing paper, install the hardboard backing board, and secure the assembly with picture framers tesa tape.
The Picture Finisher will even fit the hanging clips and secure the hanging cord using a framer’s technique to ensure you finished product sits safely on its wall hook.
Finally, and only after a satisfactory quality check by an independent supervisor, the finisher will sign and date a quality control label and attach it to the rear of the frame before handing it over to the dispatch team for packaging.
